Charlotte studied composition at the Royal College of Music with Edwin Roxburgh, and then with Edward Gregson at Goldsmith’s College, University of London. Her main interest is writing for voices, but she has received commissions to write keyboard and instrumental music for a variety of occasions. Vocal music includes solo songs and song cycles, and choral music includes a large number of sacred anthems, works for chamber choirs, children’s choirs and community choirs. Her children’s opera ‘The Hunting of the Snark’, was commissioned by Norfolk County Council and brought together over 200 children from local schools with instrumental players from the City of London Sinfonia. She composes and arranges music for a variety of examination and educational resources, including those published by the ABRSM. Charlotte is interested in receiving commissions both large and small and can work within any style or genre, sympathetic to the needs of both performer and audience.
